PHILADELPHIA, PA (WSAU) — Hunter Renfroe finished a triple shy of hitting for the cycle as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 on Saturday.
Renfroe finished 3-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Willy Adames added two singles, an RBI, and a run scored in four plate appearances.
Renfroe’s double and home run were the only two extra-base hits of the game for the Crew.
Adrian Houser picked up his first win of the season in six innings of work. He allowed five hits and three earned runs. Josh Hader sent the Phillies down in order in the 9th for his 7th save of the season.
The same two teams will meet again tonight for the Sunday Night game of the week. Pregame coverage on WSAU begins at 5:30 PM.
