MILWAUKEE, Wi (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers wasted another dominant performance from Corbin Burnes in a 4-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday night at American Family Field.
The Brewers gave up two late home runs in the game. Milwaukee was leading 1-0 in the 8th inning when Joc Pederson hit a two run homer off Trevor Gott. Then. after the Brewers tied the game at 2, Luis Gonzalez hit his first career homer off Jake Cousins in the 9th.
Burnes worked 6 2/3 scoreless innings giving up just two hits with 11 Ks.
The Brewer offense got a homer from Willy Adames that tied the game at 2 but otherwise managed just four singles in the game. Mike Brosseau had the other RBI.
Milwaukee is 10-7 on the year and will start a series in Pittsburgh tonight. Pre game show at 5pm on WSAU.
