PITTSBURGH, Pa (WSAU) — Willy Adames homered twice and drove in seven runs as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 12-8 on Tuesday night.
The Brewers broke up a 4-4 tie with six runs in the 6th inning. Brent Suter picked up the win in relief of Brandon Woodruff. Josh Hader got the final out for his 9th save.
Adames was 4-5 on his big night and also scored twice. Omar Narvaez had a couple of hits and drove in two. The other RBIs went to Kolten Wong and Tyrone Taylor.
Andrew McCutchen notched his 200th career stolen base. That puts him into an elite group with 200 career home runs and steals.
The Brewers, now 11-7, will play the Pirates again tonight…pre game show at 5pm on WSAU
