CHICAGO, Ill (WSAU) — An 8th inning solo home run from Patrick Wisdom proved to be the difference as the Chicago Cubs topped the Milwaukee Brewers 8-7 on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field.
Wisdom’s homer off Brad Boxberger was the 3rd of the game for the Cubs. Wilson Contreras and PJ Higgins also went deep.
Milwaukee got a three-run homer from Victor Caratini. Tyrone Taylor had 3 RBIs and Rowdy Tellez drove in a run as well.
Boxberger took the loss. Eric Lauer started and went four innings giving up two earned runs on five hits with six Ks and three walks.
The two teams square off tonight…pre game show at 6:30 on WSAU.
