CHICAGO, Ill (WSAU) The Chicago Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in 10 innings on Wednesday night at Wrigley Field. The Brewers finished their 11 game road trip at 6-5.
Christopher Morel hit a sac fly to win it for Chicago.
Brewers starter Jason Alexander, making his major league debut, gave up two early runs but finished with seven innings, two earned runs with seven hits, three Ks and three walks.
Hoby Milner pitched the 10th and took the loss. Manager Craig Counsell said they held Josh Hader out of the game as a precaution. They are trying to limit his innings this season.
Kolten Wong, Omar Narvaez and Jace Peterson had the Brewers RBIs.
