Could a new indoor green space and produce shop be coming to the Athletic Park neighborhood?
Asch Properties will put a proposal for a new business near the ballpark in front of the city’s economic development committee Tuesday evening. The business, which would be called “Infused,” would specialize in growing vegetables and fruit trees on the site while also allowing outside businesses to rent space for meetings in a relaxing, natural atmosphere.
Plans also include the manufacturing of oils, syrups, bitters, and garnishes that would be sold to the public. Anything not sold will be donated to shelters.
Additionally, the owners plan on installing solar panels, batteries, and rainwater collection systems on the building. Meaning the building will primarily run on green energy. Plans also include for the company to partner with the Wausau Woodchucks for events, both during the season and in the off-season.
Detailed plans for the business can be found as part of Tuesday’s meeting agenda packet. WSAU News will have more on this story later today online and during the WSAU Wisconsin Morning News on Wednesday.
