MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) The victim of a Sunday crash in Auburndale is a 5-year-old child. Four other children who were in van involved in the wreck remain hospitalized in critical condition at Marshfield Medical Center.
A minivan had been hit by a flatbed wrecker at County Road Y and County Road M.
According to the family, 8 children were in the van.
Family and friends gathered at Tuesday’s vigil expressed their thanks to the first responders and medical personnel that have been able to help their children out, and they’re currently asking for kind thoughts.
“Keep praying, stay together, talk about it, pray, and know that we’re with you,” Father Keith Kitzhaber of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield said.
The accident remains under investigation. No names have been released.
