WAUSAU, Wi (WSAU) — Several area golfers are in contention at the WIAA State Boys Golf Tournament at Blackwolf Run in Kohler.
In Division 1 Alex Koening of Kettle Moraine is leading after shooting a 2 under 70 on Monday. Jack Rubo of Lakeland is tied for 2nd one stroke back. Kaeden Nomm of Lakeland is at +2.
In Division 2 Winston Knobloch of Winneconne is the leader shooting even par 72. Antigo’s Joe Volpentesta is tied for 7th five strokes back.
In Division 3 Trey Oswald of Parkview leads at +3 75. Connor Krach of Wausau Newman and Noah Gage of Marathon are tied for fifth three strokes back.
The Wausau Wolfpack Girls LaCrosse team will in a state invitational tournament today at Wauwatosa East at 7pm.
