It’s sentencing day for Cindy Schulz Juedes.
The woman accused of killing Ken Juedes back in 2006 will receive an automatic life sentence for one count of first-degree intentional homicide today, with only the possibility of parole to be discussed.
Schulz Juedes was found guilty of the charge after a twelve-day trial last fall. She was originally scheduled to be sentenced this spring, but that was delayed after she requested a new attorney.
Prosecutors in the case had pointed to numerous factors including a perceived lack of remorse from Schulz-Juedes in the time following Ken’s death, and a more than $1 million cash and asset windfall she received following Ken’s death.
Wednesday’s sentencing hearing begins at 8:30 AM. Stay with WSAU for the latest as the situation unfolds.
