MILWAUKEE, Wi (WSAU) — For the first time since 2016 the Milwaukee Brewers have dropped six games in a row at home. The Philadelphia Phillies topped the Brewers 8-3 on Thursday afternoon.
Willy Adames homered for Milwaukee but it wasn’t enough. The Brewers, who had been struggling on offense, did manage 11 hits with Victor Caratini going 3-4 and Christian Yelich picking up 2 hits. Andrew McCutchen and Hunter Renfroe had RBIs.
Corbin Burnes struggled with his command throwing 113 pitches over only 4 1/3 innings. He gave up three runs (one earned) and struck out eight.
