WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – So far the National Weather Service has confirmed six tornadoes touched down in Wisconsin from storms on Wednesday.
One tornado touched down in Wyeville. That has been rated EF-2 with peak winds at 115 mph. The NWS says the tornado was on the ground for 20.9 miles. It developed south of Tomah and ended in the Necedah National Wildlife refuge. It was on the ground from 3:58 PM until 4:34 PM.
The NWS reports and EF-1 tornado touched down in La Farge at 4:07pm It was on the ground for 6.2 miles ending 2 miles from Dilly.
Another EF-1 tornado touched down in Mauston. It was on the ground for 8.4 miles with peak winds of 90 mph. It likely touched down from 4:43 PM.
Another tornado was confirmed in Seymour. The NWS lists it as an EF-1.
The National Weather Service also reported an EF1 in the city of West Bloomfield in Waushara County.”
The latest confirmed tornado from the NWS was in Silver Cliff, Marinette County. Its rating is still under review but excessive damage to trees and other structures was found in the area.
