CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU) — Adrian Houser navigated six innings and three runs to lead Milwaukee to a 6-3 win over Cincinnati.
The Brewers starter allowed four hits and four walks in the outing while also recording five strikeouts. He improves to 4-7 on the season.
Trevor Kelley, Hoby Milner, and Brad Boxberger all recorded holds out of the bullpen. Devin Williams was brought on for the 9th to convert his 5th save of the season.
Andrew McCutchen and Victor Caratini each recorded two hits in the win. Caratini and Hunter Renfroe both homered.
Luis Urias went 1-5 with a run scored and an RBI.
Both teams put up three runs in the 3rd inning. Milwaukee then scored three runs between the 6th and 7th for the winning margin.
With the win Milwaukee moves to 38-30 on the season, moving them back into a tie for first place in the NL Central with St. Louis and setting up a big mid-season series with the Cardinals beginning on Monday. The first of four between the Cards and the Crew begins Monday at 6:35 PM on WSAU.
