MILWAUKEE, Wi (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers may be getting some injured players back soon but they are also losing another pitcher for awhile.
On Monday, Aaron Ashby was placed on the 15 day IL. Ashby is suffering from inflammation in his pitching arm. He was shut down in a bullpen session over the weekend and will not make his scheduled Tuesday start vs St. Louis.
Chi Chi Gonzales, who was picked up on waivers from the Twins last week, will probably make his first Brewers appearance today.
Also, Brandon Woodruff will make a rehab start with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Thursday while Trevor Gott and Mike Brosseau will begin rehab assignments with the Timber Rattlers today.
