Tournament of Roses Parade
Eight Central and Northwoods Wisconsin schools will burst with pride on Thursday when they receive formal invitations to participate in the 2023 Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, California.
The group will receive their formal invitation to participate Thursday morning at East High School in Wausau following practice and a special assembly with representatives from the Tournament of Roses.
The band will participate as the “Northwoods Marching Band,” and will include students from eight different area schools:
- Wausau East
- Merrill
- D.C. Everest
- Northland Pines
- Antigo
- Lakeland
- Mosinee
- Three Lakes
The group will also hold a practice march Thursday morning down 18th Street to Sell Street and through the Horace Mann Middle School parking lot. They will also participate in several local 4th of July parades in preparation for the big parade on January 2nd.
