WAUSAU, Wi (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks won the first game of the series as they defeated the Green Bay Rockers 8-3.
Hunter Dorraugh (San Jose State University) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night with two home runs. Kevin Kilpatrick (University of Houston) contributed to the offense with a single, double and a walk.
Jack Wenninger (University of Illinois) had the win on the mound throwing six innings with four strikeouts giving up only four hits. Tyler Denu (University of Evansville) threw the last inning of the game with two strikeouts.
The Chucks play at Green Bay tonight.
