WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Organizers canceled the end of the Celebrate Wausau event in Marathon Park after rain pushed through the region.
The call was made at about 7 PM due to standing water on the concert stage, which creates an electrical hazard.
Organizers did get most of the day’s events in including a parade and a performance by the Wausau Concert Band. Games and live entertainment began in Marathon Park at noon.
