MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — NHL Preseason hockey is coming to Fiserv Forum.
The Chicago Blackhawks announced they will host the Minnesota Wild at the home of the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, October 2nd as part of the Blackhawks’ “Home away from home” series. Tickets for the game will go on sale Friday at 10 AM.
It’s the first time the Blackhawks have hosted a game in Milwaukee since 1993 when they played an exhibition game against the LA Kings.
But, it won’t be the first time Fiserv Forum has hosted hockey. The arena is the site of the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off college hockey tournament, which is held in the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Last year’s event saw Wisconsin defeat Providence to win the four-team event. The Badgers host Lake Superior State, UMass, and Clarkson in this year’s tournament.
