GREEN BAY, Wi (WSAU) — A case of monkeypox has been confirmed in Brown County. Health officials say the patient is isolated and they’re working to figure out who they may have had contact with.
They add that there is no cause for alarm and that the risk to the community remains low. The disease is spread only through close, intimate contact.
Monkeypox hasn’t led to any deaths in the US yet. There are 23 known cases in Wisconsin.
