WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Organizers are calling the 2022 Aspirus Health Foundation Golf Classic a success.
The event, held on August 1st at Wausau Golf Club, raised $68,600 for various causes supported by the Foundation.
“We are extremely thankful for the generosity of those who participated, sponsored, donated, volunteered, and supported this year,” said Kim Smerda, Fund Development Specialist for the Aspirus Health Foundation.
Proceeds will be used to help kids build healthy brains through the Reach Out and Read program at Aspirus Clinics, help newborns get the care they need through the Anya Marie Jackson NICU at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, and help patients and families in need of a place to stay at the Aspirus Family House during a medical crisis and when traveling for specialty care.
“We are so grateful for the support of our community and partners. We could not do it without them,” added Smerda.
Midwest Communications was one of the many sponsors of the event.
