WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau-area man who has served time for sex crimes involving children has entered a not guilty plea to the latest battery of charges against him.
Martin Raatz entered the plea to three felony and two misdemeanor counts in Marathon County court on Wednesday. He’s accused of inappropriately touching several girls younger than 13 years old this summer.
The 25-year-old was on probation for separate charges at the time of the incident.
Previous charges against Raatz date back to 2015 when he pled no contest to repeatedly having sex with the same child and was later found guilty by a judge. In 2016 he was found guilty of having sex with a child age 16 or older, a charge that carried a repeat modifier.
A judge has found probable cause to move the most recent charges against him to trial. Raatz returns to court on August 24th.
