KESHENA, WI (WSAU) – After opening their football season with two blowout losses, Menominee Indian High School is canceling most of their remaining games.
Their season began with a 76-0 loss to Auburndale. This week they lost to Waupun, 58-0.
The school will drop all of its football games except two: their homecoming game against Northland Pines on October 14, and a road game against Tomahawk on October 7.
Games against Coleman, Clintonville, Crandon, and Crivitz are now off the schedule. Those teams are now scrambling to find other opponents on short notice.
The school hasn’t given a reason why, but the number of students playing football is down to between 18 and 22., with an overall enrollment of about 300.
Menomonee Indian has won only two games over the past two seasons.
