MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin football team lost backup quarterback Chase Wolf to a knee injury suffered in pratice.
Wolf underwent surgery on Monday. The senior was the only backup QB with game experience behind Graham Mertz. He played in 10 games over the last three seasons.
Redshirt freshman Deacon Hill and freshman Myles Burkett are next up.
The Badgers open the season on Saturday vs Illinois State at Camp Randall.
