MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 5-3 on Friday night at Great American Ball Park.
Andrew McCutchen drove in three runs and went over the 1000 RBI mark for his career. Victor Caratini drove in the other run.
Luis Perdomo picked up the win in relief of starter Eric Lauer. Perdomo tossed 3.1 scoreless innings giving up just one hit and striking out four. Devin Williams recorded a four out save.
The Brewers did not pick up any ground on the Phillies who won…they did pick up a game on the Padres who lost and remain 2 1/2 games out in the wild card chase.
The two teams play again tonight…the broadcast has been moved to FM 93.9 or AM 1390 The Game because of Badger football on WSAU.
