STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP womens soccer team fought back from a one goal deficit twice and played UW-Oshkosh to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday afternoon.
Kati Frierdich and Gina Wasniewski had the Pointer goals. Miranda Nieman had seven saves.
The Pointers, now 3-6-3, 0-1-1 in WIAC, will host Whitewater on Saturday at 1pm.
The #16 UWSP volleyball team beat UW-River Falls in straight sets on Wednesday in River Falls.
Wausau West grad Grace Michalske had a double-double with 27 assists and 10 digs. Ashley Kopp led all players with 14 kills and Melanie Meyer added 12.
The Pointers, now 15-2, 2-2 in WIAC, travel to Waukesha for a pair of matches on Saturday at Carroll.
