KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — Duane Gau is getting an extended stay as Interim Administrator in Kronenwetter.
The village board approved an extended agreement during Monday’s meeting, allowing Gau to stay on board through January 1st.
Gau was brought on board this summer after former Administrator Richard Downey was let go. Gau’s original agreement was for 90-days and expires today.
In addition to approving the 90-day extension, Gau is also getting a raise to $85 per hour in “recognition of the additional community development director services provided by Gau.” His pay would be capped at $44,000 over that three-month window.
Gau is not considered an employee of the Village. He maintains employment through Public Administration Associates LLC, which is billing the Village for his services.
