CHICAGO, ILL (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks held out most of their key players and dropped a 127-104 matchup at Chicago on Tuesday night to fall to 0-4 in the pre-season.
Giannis, Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez and Serge Ibaka sat out for rest. Pat Connaughton, Wesley Matthews, Khris Middleton & Joe Ingles are re-habbing injuries. Grayson Allen, George Hill and Thanasis Antetokounmpo were out sick. Bobby Portis suited up but did not play.
That meant a skeleton crew for coach Charles Lee who ran the team while Mike Budenholzer re-habs his ankle replacement.
Milwaukee did have five players in double figures with Jordan Nwora leading the way 25 points. Marques Bolden had 21, Marjon Beauchamp 14 and Jevon Carter & Sandro Mamukelashvili added 13 each.
Lee said that some of those rested players would go tonight in the final pre-season game vs Brooklyn at Fiserv Forum.
The Bucks open the regular season on October 20th at Philadelphia.
Milwaukee also announced the death of executive vice-president John Steinmiller after a brief battle with cancer. He spent 50 years with the organization.
