MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin volleyball team swept Michigan State on Friday night at the UW-Fieldhouse. The scores were 25-22, 25-16 and 25-15.
Wisconsin’s Julia Orzol had match-high 13 kills while Danielle Hart, Devyn Robinson and Sarah Franklin added 10 each.
Izzy Ashburn had 21 assists and MJ Hammill had 11.
The Badgers, now 14-3, 8-1 in Big Ten, will play at Michigan on Sunday at Noon.
The Wisconsin mens hockey team got into the win column with a 5-2 victory at Minnesota-Duluth on Friday night.
Charlie Stramel notched his first Badger goal in the first period that knotted the game at 1. Other goals went to Cruz Lucius, Jack Gorniak, Ty Smilanic and Owen Lindmark. Jared Moe had 38 saves.
The Badgers, now 1-4, will play at Duluth again Saturday night at 6pm.
The Wisconsin womens hockey team rolled over Bemidji State 7-1 on Friday night at LaBahn Arena.
Caroline Harvey, Casey O’Brien, Jesse Compher, Sophie Shirley, Lacey Eden, Nicole LaMantia and Grace Shirley all tallied goals.
Jane Gervais had 16 saves.
The Badgers, now 9-1, 6-0 in WCHA, will return to action at Minnesota Duluth next weekend.
The Wisconsin football team hosts Purdue today (Saturday). Badger Game Day begins at 12:30 on WSAU.
