DULUTH, MN (WSAU) — A two-point night from Brock Caufield lifted the Badger men’s hockey team to a 3-0 win over Minnesota-Duluth.
Caufield netted his first goal four minutes into the game, then assisted on a second-period tally from Lucius Cruz. Jack Gorniak scored the final goal of the game in the 3rd.
Jared Moe went the distance in net and made 35 saves while keeping a clean sheet.
Wisconsin swept the weekend series in their first visit to Amsoil Arena since the two teams shared a home in the WCHA.
The Badgers (2-4-0, 0-2-0 Big Ten) return to conference action next weekend for a two-game series against Penn State at the Kohl Center. Games begin at 7 PM on both Friday and Saturday nights.
