WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man has been sentenced in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl at a house party.
Ger Yang, also known as Ace, was sentenced to seven years in prison and eight years on extended supervision for paying the girl $60 for sex after she ran away from a group home. Officials say he also participated in the assault.
Yang pled guilty to a count of child trafficking as part of a deal that called for other charges, including second-degree sexual assault of a child, to be dropped. In addition to 15 years of prison and extended supervision time, he must also register as a sex offender and complete all treatment as deemed appropriate by his agent. While on probation, he must also maintain full-time employment or schooling or complete 9 hours of community service per week.
He’s also been ordered to have no contact with the victims and no contact with anyone under the age of 18 unless approved by the department of corrections.
The 37-year-old was given credit for just over 200 days already served as well.
At least one other man is already serving prison time for his role in the incident. Dennis Moua is serving 10 years as part of a sentence for second-degree sexual assault and child enticement.
