HOUSTON, TX (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Philadelphia Phillies have struck first in the Fall Classic.
J.T. Realmuto smacked a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the 10th inning as the Phils edged the Astros 6-5 in Game One of the World Series in Houston. Realmuto also had a game-tying, two-run double in the fifth inning as Philadelphia erased an early 5-0 deficit.
The Phillies take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game Two is Saturday in Houston.
Kyle Tucker homered in the second and third innings while driving in four runs for the Astros in defeat.
