A long-awaited replacement for the former Ponderosa Motel site will finally open this week.
Emmerich Properties will cut the ribbon on the new Ross Avenue Apartments on Monday, a 16-unit housing complex built at the site of the former Ponderosa Motel.
The former building was gutted by fire seven years ago, following which the building sat vacant for several years before it was finally torn down in 2020.
Monday’s ceremony will be for the first portion of the development. A second phase will include another 16-unit development.
The ribbon cutting is set for 1 PM Monday. Representatives from both the city and US Housing and Urban Development will be on hand for the event.
