PHILADELPHIA, PA (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Phillies are leading the World Series two games to one after blowing out the Astros seven-nothing at home in Game Three on Tuesday.
Philadelphia combined for five home runs as a team, including a two-run shot for Bryce Harper in the bottom of the first inning. The others to go deep were Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber and Rhys Hoskins. The 5 homers tied a Woprld Series record for one game.
Lance McCullers, the Astro starter, gave up all five longballs, the most ever surrendered by a pitcher in a World Series game.
Houston will be looking to tie the series at two games apiece in Game Four on Wednesday. Aaron Nola is expected to start for the Phillies. He’ll be opposed by Astros righty Cristian Javier.
