MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team won the “Brew City Battle” with a 60-50 win over Stanford Friday night at American Family Field.
Tyler Wahl had 13 points and Chucky Hepburn added 11. Steven Crowl had nine points and 11 rebounds.
The game drew a crowd of 17,927.
The Badgers, now 2-0, will host UW-Green Bay on Tuesday.
The Wisconsin womens basketball team dropped their matchup at the “Brew City Battle” to Kansas State 77-63 on Friday afternoon.
The Badgers led by as many as 13 in the second quarter but went cold in the second half.
Maty Wilke had a team-high 17 points as did Julie Pospisilova.
The Badgers, now 1-1 will host North Florida next Saturday.
The Wisconsin mens hockey team Beat Long Island University 3-2 on Friday night at the Kohl Center.
Zach Urdahl score an early power-play goal to give Wisconsin the lead. Mathieu De St. Phalle gave Wisconsin a 2-0 lead late in the first period.
Cruz Lucius got the tie-breaking winning goal in the third period.
Jared Moe had 23 saves.
The Badgers, now 3-8, will play Long Island again tonight.
The 3rd ranked Wisconsin Volleyball team dumped Rutgers 3-0 and won their 13th straight match Friday night at the Fieldhouse. The scores were 25-13, 25-12 and 25-12.
The Badgers had 10 aces to 0 for the Scarlet Knights.
Sarah Franklin had 11 kills and Danielle Hart had eight kills on eight attempts. Izzy Ashburn had 17 assists and MJ Hammill had 11. Gulce Guctekin had 10 digs.
The Badgers, now 20-3, 14-1 in Big Ten, will wrap up the home portion of the regular season with a match against Maryland tonight at 7pm.
The Wisconsin football team plays at Iowa today…pre game show at 12:30 on WSAU.
