GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — Three people were sentenced on Monday for a vehicle arson case on the Menominee Reservation that was done to cover up a drug overdose death.
Timothy Snider, 39, 36-year-old Emerson Reed, and 34-year-old Kayla Childs were charged with selling heroin to a Green Bay woman and then trying to cover up her overdose by taking the body to the reservation on HWY 55 and burning her corpse in a car.
Snider will serve 12 1/2 years in prison for the distribution of heroin and conspiracy, Reed will serve 10 years for arson in connection to a felony and Childs gets 2 1/2 years for conspiracy to obstruct justice.
Another man that was involved took his own life.
The incident dates back to August 2020.
