Call it the first major decision to be made in Weston’s brand-new Village Hall.
The Board of Trustees will meet Monday at 6 PM to conduct a public hearing on the proposed 2023 Village Budget, and will then turn around and immediately vote on the document and supporting tax levels.
The 2023 spending plan shows an increase of about 4% compared to last year. That includes a 2% increase in health insurance costs and a 5% across-the-board raise for village employees.
Monday’s public hearing and vote are scheduled for the start of the Village Board meeting at 6 PM in the new Village Hall located at 4747 Camp Phillips Road.
The new facility was approved in the spring of 2021 as a public works project funded by an increase in property taxes. Leaders broke ground on the facility later that summer.
They began the process of moving furniture and other items from the old municipal center on Schofield Avenue in September. Earlier this month they began holding public meetings at the building.
