STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP womens basketball team romped over North Central 83-51 on Saturday at Berg Gym.
Jamie Pfeifer led the Pointers with 14 points. Kelly McIntyre had 13.
Halftime festivites saw the court in Berg Gym named for long-time coach Shirley Egner. She is the winningest coach in Pointer history and retired after last season.
The Pointers, now 4-1, will host Lakeland on Tuesday.
The UWSP mens basketball team came from behind to top Madison Edgewood 75-71 Saturday night in Madison.
Jake Buchanan had a career high 25 points. Landon VanCalster had 11 and Zach Mootz added 10.
The Pointers, now 3-1, host Wisconsin Lutheran on Tuesday.
The UWSP mens hockey team beat Northland 5-2 on Saturday in Ashland.
Tyler German scored twice for the Pointers. Other goals went to David Hill, Noah Finstrom and Jordan Fader.
Matthias Smith had 15 saves.
The Pointers, now 4-1-3, will return to action December 2nd at River Falls.
The UWSP womens hockey team beat UW-Superior 4-1 on Saturday night in Superior.
Courtney Leising scored twice for the Pointers. The other goals went to Grace Torma and Annika Horman.
Olivia Schultz had 29 saves.
The Pointers, now 4-2-1, will play at St Norbert on Tuesday.
