NASSAU, BAHAMAS (WSAU) — Wisconsin rebounded from Thursday’s loss to Kansas with a 64-59 win over the University of Southern California in the Battle 4 Atlantis 3rd place game.
Chucky Hepburn paced the Badgers with 17 points, four assists, and two rebounds. Tyler Wahl added 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Connor Essegian scored 12.
After a pair of tough games from the field, Wisconsin finally found their groove shooting 45% from the field including 42% from three-point land.
The five-point margin of victory was the most lopsided game Wisconsin was involved in during the tournament. The Badgers went 2-1 in the eight-team event, with their three games decided by a combined seven points.
Wisconsin continues non-conference play next week against Wake Forest in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Tip time from the Kohl Center is 8 PM, pregame coverage on WSAU will begin at 7.
The Wisconsin womens basketball team dropped an 83-72 matchup with Seton Hall on Friday in the US Virgin Islands.
Brooke Schramek had four three-pointers and scored 18 for the Badgers.
The Badgers, now 3-4, will face VCU today.
The Wisconsin volleyball team clinched it’s fourth straight Big Ten Championship with a 3-1 win over Nebraska on Friday night. Wisconsin has won 17 straight matches.
Devyn Robinson had a match-high 16 kills and Sarah Franklin added 12. Izzy Ashburn had 28 assists and MJ Hammill added 18 along with 13 digs.
The Badgers finish the regular season Saturday at Ohio State. The NCAA Tournament begins on December 2nd.
