MINNEAPOLIS, Minn (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Vikings scored a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth-quarter to beat the New England Patriots 33-26 in Minnesota on Thanksgiving Night.
Kirk Cousins tossed a 15-yard touchdown to Adam Thielen with under ten minutes left in regulation to take the lead for good, and the Patriots turned the ball over on downs on their penultimate possession and ran out of time on a final desperation drive.
Cousins threw three touchdown passes in the victory, while Justin Jefferson caught nine passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. The win was Minnesota’s first over New England since 2000, and the Vikings have extended their NFC North lead at nine-and-two.
Mac Jones passed for 382 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort. The Patriots had their three-game winning streak snapped and are now six-and-five.
Dak Prescott threw a pair of second-half touchdown passes as the Cowboys took down the Giants 28-20 in a Thanksgiving clash in Arlington.
Prescott helped Dallas erase a 13-7 halftime deficit with two TD passes to Dalton Schultz in the third quarter. Peyton Hendershot extended the Cowboys’ lead in the fourth quarter with his two-yard touchdown run and Ezekiel Elliott also rushed for a score in the victory. Dallas improved to 8-and-3.
Daniel Jones threw for 228 yards and a score in the losing effort. Saquon Barkley was held to 39 rushing yards as New York fell to 7-and-4.
The Bills are celebrating an exciting victory on Turkey Day after topping the Lions 28-25 in Detroit.
Tyler Bass kicked a 45-yard field goal with two seconds left in the game to propel Buffalo to the win. Josh Allen threw for 253 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Allen also carried the ball 10 times for 78 yards and a score.
Jared Goff threw for 240 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Lions. Detroit’s winning streak is over after three games. The Lions are now 4-and-7. The Bills improved their record to 8-and-3.
