WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Marathon County’s recreation department has closed all snowmobile trails, effective immediately.
In a news release on Friday Recreation Coordinator Daniel Schmid said this includes the section of the Mountain Bay trail from County Road J going east, which had been open.
All trails will remain closed until further notice.
Snowmobilers are always encouraged to check the status of the trail system by visiting the county’s website.
