PINE LAKE, WI (WSAU) The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department now says two people were held against their will before escaping the basement of a home in Pine Lake last month.
A woman managed to escape and got help from a neighbor who took her to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. She claims she was bound to a chair, beaten, and sexually assaulted.
A man says he was also held in the home.
Both victims were lured to the house and were held between December 20th and December 22nd.
Tyler Young, Patrol Captain with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department said, “the key thing is these people knew each other. They weren’t necessarily being a direct threat to other people in our community they are a threat within their group.’
Four people are facing criminal charges in the case: Jay Llyod, Laura Schultz, Andrew Horbinski, and Darren Hewison.
The house belonged to Schultz.
