Kou Yang
MADISON, WI (WSAU) – A Wausau meth dealer will spend 5 years in federal prison.
Kou Yang, 27, was sentenced Thursday by Judge William M. Conley. After serving his jail time, he’ll be on supervised release for three years.
Yang pled guilty last October to distributing 50 grams of methamphetamine. In August, 2021 he sold meth to an undercover police officer on two occasions. The Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force assisted in the case.
Yang was already on probation for an earlier drug dealing conviction.
The judge noted that Yang has a long history of criminal activity, including possession of illegal firearms and domestic violence.
