TOWN OF LINWOOD, WI (WSAU) — One person was found dead in a submerged vehicle in Portage County over the weekend.
Sheriff’s officers got a call at around 2 PM Sunday for a possible crash near a pond on Robin Lane in the Town of Lindwood. When officers arrived they found the driver dead in the vehicle.
It doesn’t appear anyone else was involved in the crash, and officers say they have reason to believe that the car was driven into the pond intentionally. Additionally, officials believe the vehicle had been sitting in the pond for a few days.
The name of the driver has not been released.
