Shawn Wilde
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Weston man accused of sexually assaulting children at a daycare facility will go to trial.
Shawn Wilde was bound over for trial on Tuesday, entering a not guilty plea to a dozen charges including five counts of first-degree sexual assault involving contact with a person under the age of 13.
Other charges include child enticement, possession of child pornography, and exposing a child to harmful materials.
Investigators say that Wilde would touch children appropriately, telling them it was part of a “game” he created. His alleged victims said the “game” had been going on for some time, and that he would occasionally take photos as well.
Cash bond for the 23-year-old has been set at $100,000. Should he post bond he will not be allowed to have contact with anyone under the age of 18 or a daycare facility. He will also be under level four supervision with ATTIC Correctional Services and may have to submit to drug testing.
Further court action against him will be scheduled on Thursday.
