GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — UW-Green Bay is in the market for a new mens basketball coach after firing Will Ryan on Tuesday.
Ryan was let go just two years into a six-year contract. Wins have been hard to come by and attendance had been dwindling.
The school will owe Ryan at least $525,000 unless some sort of settlement is reached. They are also still paying former coach Linc Darner who Ryan replaced in 2020
UWGB is 2-19 entering a game with Northern Kentucky on Thursday. Assistant Freddie Owens will take over on a interim basis for the rest of the season.
