WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Kwik Trip will be coming to Marathon City.
Marathon City village administrator Andy Kurtz tells WAOW TV this is big news and a “benefit to the community.”
Kurtz said it will be about a 10,000 square foot Kwik Trip Travel Center and located at the Highway 107 just north of State Highway 29. Kurtz also said there will be an intersection at this location with some lane changes on Highway 107 as a result on working with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT).
The development agreement is expected to be approved at Wednesday’s village board meeting and construction will begin this fall or the spring of 2024.
