GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) –The Packers will have more money to spend ahead of next season. That’s because the NFL salary cap is increasing to a new record of 224-point-eight million dollars.
That’s a more than 16-million-dollar bump from this season. Green Bay is about 16-and-a-half-million-dollars over the cap, but the team is expected to restructure several contracts to provide some relief.
The Packers could also cut several players before the June 1st deadline to create more cap space.
