ANN ARBOR, MI and MADISON, WI (WSAU) — It was an unsuccessful Friday for Badger hockey.
The women dropped a 1-0 decision to St. Cloud State (MN) at the Kohl Center in WCHA play. Jenniina Nylund scored the lone goal of the game for the Huskies, Cami Kronish made 14 saves for Wisconsin.
The game was played in the Kohl Center as part of the Badgers’ “Fill the Bowl” night, which included an equipment drive to benefit youth hockey programs. Attendance for the game was listed as over 14,400.
Meanwhile, in Ann Arbor, the Badger men struggled in a 6-2 loss to Michigan. Tyson Jugnauth and Liam Malmquist provided the goals for the Badgers.
Jack Horbach was ejected from the game in the second period after he picked up two penalties for roughing and kneeing at the 5-minute mark. That was part of a larger incident that saw three unsportsmanlike conduct penalties called, two on Michigan and one on Wisconsin.
Jared Moe made 42 saves in the loss.
