MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Northwestern swept both games against Wisconsin this season.
The Badgers faltered down the stretch, missing key free-throws and late shots from the floor, falling 54-52.
Chucky Hepburn led the Badgers with 17, but had a key layup attempt blocked down the stretch. Hepburn had one more chance to tilt the game towards the Badgers, but missed a final shot with 6-seconds left.
The Badgers have now lost five of their last six games. They’re now 13-9 overall and 5-7 on Big Ten play.
Wisconsin plays at Penn State on Wednesday at 7:30pm CT.
