MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Governor Tony Evers has approved over $14 million for improvements to Highway 29 in Marathon County.
Work calls for segments of pavement between County Roads H and E to be replaced along with work to the shoulder. Crews will be focusing on the eastbound lanes for this project.
The second project involves westbound lanes between County Roads Y and D, where crews will resurface the road and install new guardrails.
New drainage infrastructure will also be installed.
The projects are expected to begin in April and run through October, weather depending. A mix of federal and state transportation funds will be used to complete the work.
