WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau woman who was found to have thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine in her vehicle during a routine traffic stop will serve three years in state prison.
It’s part of a plea deal that was announced on Monday involving Jenna Slaby. The 29-year-old entered a no contest plea to four counts including possessing more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute and multiple counts of bail jumping.
In exchange charges from seven other cases including retail theft, theft of movable property, and bail jumping were dismissed.
Judge Suzzane O’Neill then sentenced her to six years in prison split up between three years of incarceration and three years of extended supervision. She’ll also pay court costs and fines.
Slaby was pulled over for a faulty taillight. Officers searched the vehicle and found drugs inside multiple containers including a loaded needle in a makeup container and a bag of corn chips.
Officers also discovered that Slaby was out on bond for multiple charges including bail jumping.
Judge O’Neill did give Slaby credit for 29 days already served. She will be eligible for court programming.
